Why park your license?
Under the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 (REBBA), all REALTORS® in Ontario must be registered under RECO in order to maintain their professional license.
There are other fees and requirements associated with maintaining your license:
Annual insurance
Continuing education
Board membership fees
Brokerage fees
For REALTORS® who decide to take an extended break from real estate trading, these costs can add up to over $3,500 a year.

$199 annual fee, 10% fee on commissions

What if I want to do a deal?
Sequel Realty Ltd. is not licensed to post on MLS or trade on your behalf. This option is best for salespeople or brokers who do not wish to pay OREA, CREA, local board fees, franchise fees, and desk fees.
Do I need to pay E&O yearly?
Yes, you still need to pay E&O yearly.
What regions do you cover?
Agents from anywhere in Ontario can join us! In addition, we are directly connected to a network of over 2,000 REALTORS® from across the GTA.
However, you can receive referral fees from any registered real estate sales representative or broker in North America.
What is real estate parking?
Parking your real estate license is also referred to as holding your license, warehousing, or shelving. Parking is when you register your Real Estate license with a licensed brokerage that holds your license because you are not actively trading. You are still a fully licensed Registrant with RECO, but you are exempt from paying Real Estate Board and Association fees, as well as other brokerage fees. You remain responsible or RECO insurance and continuing education costs.

Can I still sell real estate?
You cannot represent buyers or sellers as a Sequel agent, however you can refer clients and transactions to active real estate agents and receive referral fees.
Do you have an office location where I can rent a workspace
Sequel Realty is a fully virtual brokerage. However, through our exclusive partnerships we do have several offices throughout the GTA in which you can reserve meeting rooms as needed.
